THE RANGE

Dingmans Shooting Range is a state of the art indoor range facility located in Pike County, Pennsylvania. Our facility consists of a climate controlled six bay, 25 yard shooting facility  with automated target system. You can breathe easy as you shoot too as our powerful ventilation system keeps our air clean and free of smoke and other debris.

FAQ

What are your first time shooter policies?

All shooters who are renting must be in groups of 2 or more. No single shooters will be allowed to rent firearms on their first visit. Single shooters can rent on subsequent visits or if they bring their own firearms too on their first. Valid state or federal photo ID is required to shoot and rent firearms at the range.

How old do I have to be to shoot at the range?

The minimum age requirement to use the range is 10 years old. You must be 18 years or older in order to rent a rifle or get a lane. If under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult who is required to sign a Guardian Release. Customers must be at least 21 years old to rent a handgun – or must be accompanied by someone in their port who is 21. Individuals who are 18 years of age, but under 21, can only rent rifles unless accompanied by someone who is 21.

Do I need experience to shoot at the range?

No experience is needed to shoot at our range, we do provide one-on-one lessons with NRA certified Range Officers.

What should I wear?

We require both ear and eye protection to be worn in the range. Ear and eye protection is available for rent. We require closed toe shoes in the range and recommend that you do not wear low cut shirts to avoid getting burned by spent brass casings.

We are located at 1497 Route 739, Dingmans Ferry, PA 18328. We are located approximately 10 minutes from Milford, PA; 20 minutes from Port Jervis, NY; 45 minutes from Stroudsburg, PA; 1 hour from Scranton, PA; and 1.5 hours from NYC. Click Here for a map and more contact information.

How long is your range?

Our range is 25 yards long and has (6) six ports

How many people can share a port?

We allow (2) two people per port.

What firearms can I shoot on your range?

All handguns (up to 44 magnum power level), rifles up to .30-06 power level, shotguns (slugs only) and pellet rifles can be used on our range. All shotguns must have stocks. IE No "Shockwave" or "Persuader" shotguns allowed. No black powder firearms may be shot at the DSR range.

Can i bring my own ammunition?

Yes, you may shoot your own ammunition at our range UNLESS you are using a rental firearm. Ammunition is available for purchase for both rental and personal firearms at the range! We stock most major calibers.

What types of ammo can I use at the range?

We allow up to 30-06 power levels on the range for rifles and up to .44 Magnum power levels for pistols. Slug only for shotguns. No armor piercing, tracer, or steel core ammunition allowed. Steel case is OK.

What types of targets can I use at the range?

Targets are available for purchase at the range and you may also bring your own, provided they fit in our hangers. Targets may be taped to a larger target in order to fit. No steel, binary or other such targets allowed.

Do you accept transfers?

Yes, the FFL transfer fee is $30.00 per firearm.

Do you offer classes for first time shooters?

Yes. We have a wide variety of course offerings, as well as one-on-one training, for all levels of shooters. Please Click Here for our class offerings and pricing.

Do you provide Retired Police Officer qualifications?

Yes, we provide the HR 218 course. Call for availability.

Do you take reservations?

We are first come first served unless you are a a DSR Club Member. Members are allowed to reserve lane times in advance in a (1) one hour block per day (unless thee are no customers waiting, then members can continue to use the lane) Become a member and start enjoying your benefits today!
