We will be holding our first Introduction to Competition Shooting class on August 24th at 5:15PM
This class is designed for those who are already familiar with safe operation of their firearm and interested in entering the competition space.
This class should provide solid fundamentals for anyone interested in competing in action handgun, USPSA or PCSL matches. Whether you're a beginner or youth shooter, it's a great way to build confidence and develop important skills for competitive shooting.
Class Overview:
Stage Planning: How to approach and plan your stages before the match.
Grip & Stance: Techniques for holding and positioning your firearm for better control and accuracy.
Drawing from a Holster: Practicing how to efficiently and safely draw your gun.
Reloading Techniques: Both static reloading (standing still) and dynamic reloading while moving.
Target Transitions: Learning how to quickly and accurately shift focus between targets.
Shooting While Moving: Mastering how to shoot effectively while on the move.
Table Top Starts: Practicing starts from a table top, which is a common scenario in some matches.
Requirements:
Outside Waistband Holster: A requirement for action shooting sports.
EDC or Competition Belt: To hold your holster and magazines securely.
2+ Magazines: To be used for reloading drills.
Magazine Pouches (optional but recommended): To hold your extra magazines.
150-200 Rounds of Ammunition: You'll need plenty of ammo to go through all the drills and practice sessions.
Cost is $150 per student due at enrollment.
